Lowest I could see was $1.65 a gallon. Manager at Meijers mentioned that the real cause of the price bump was an accident in the Alaska pipeline, not OPEC manipulations.
He also mentioned that when prices went up he noticed the carpool that formed behind the bank every morning. The people would come over to get coffee and then into one of the larger vehicles. He said he watch that activity grow and that it has continued despite the drop in gas prices.
The manager commutes to work and said that he also noticed that 275 and 696 which used to be tough to get onto and is now a an easy drive.
